Schell Games Announces Kat De Shields-Moon as PR Manager


Educational and entertainment game development company Schell Games announced today that Kat De Shields-Moon has joined as in-house PR Manager, effective October 1. De Shields-Moon will report to Senior Director of Marketing Jill Sciulli and will oversee the company’s public relation efforts, as well as supervise the publicity campaigns for their Original Games.

De Shields-Moon began her career in public relations and marketing working with a variety of companies from small businesses to non-profit organizations. A former games journalist with deep roots in the industry, she served as a Communications Manager for Launch Media Network, the parent company of Game Skinny, where she also worked as a reporter. De Shields-Moon then took on the role of Marketing Specialist at the full service gaming agency, Novy Unlimited. In late 2018, De Shields-Moon stepped into her role as PR and Partnerships Manager at Skillshot Media, a former subsidiary of Hi-Rez Studios.

In her new role at Schell Games, De Shields-Moon will oversee the development and execution of Schell Games' publicity campaigns. In an effort to increase brand awareness and positively influence public perception, she’ll serve as the point of contact at trade shows and conferences around the public relations activities, while organizing speaking engagements for the Schell Games executive and development teams. She will also be responsible for the Schell Games’ awards program. It is expected that under De Shields-Moon’s leadership, the company will collaborate with outside partners on projects, leading to continued growth for Schell Games and its brand.
